Hello there! Thanks for dropping in to see me. I'm Jo and this is my online portfolio. Here you'll be able to see a selection of work which I have undertaken over the past 5 years. I've worked with clients such as Train to Gain, L'Oreal and Time Out, and been able to develop Soupa Creative Network- the online networking site for like-minded creatives.

SITE RE-DESIGN
Happy New Year!
As you can see I have stripped down this site to a more simplified version. Same layout/style - just a little less colour and hopefully a little more room to breath. I also have added a few new pieces of work including West London Living, Illustrated Living and some new work from Incisive Media. All of these you will find in the portfolio section of the site.
I have also included some new links to the blog, which contains some more informal work including sketches, doodles and some other work which is unfinished. The lecturing section on the blog is mainly for students, so they/you can download any information or lesson plans which I have written specifically for the lessons I have been teaching at UCA and LCC. By all means take a look and download them if you are interested.

SOUPA MARKET
Come along to the SoupaMarket this Christmas - from 17-20 December at Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London.
Looking for Christmas gifts in the supermarket can be dull. Looking for Christmas gifts in the SoupaMarket however, is anything but...
This one time only event will see members of Soupa sell their wares at the Old Truman Brewery's 'All I Want for Christmas' fair on a collective SoupaStall. This lovely poster has been created by Soupa member Oscar de Castro to promote the event and details who will be providing the goodies!
Expect limited edition screenprints, T-shirts and cuddly critters - all unique and handmade by Santa's Soupa little elves.

NEARLY 2010
So, i've not managed to update this site for a while - and new year new start and all that. I will be 'refreshing' the Ok-Jo site over the next month or so. The main reason being Ok-Jo is now Ok-Jo Studio Ltd. I need to re-think the branding look, you can see I have started with the banner but, the rest of the site - at the moment is not really matching up. So, new work - new look and more interesting things to come from Soupa over the next few months.
I am now also teaching at London College of Communication which has been a really inspiring insight and getting me excited about future projects of my own.

SUPER BUSY SUMMER
This summer has been manic work wise, which has been brilliant - but no time for personal work (shocker!). I am planning to get some more drawing in over the next couple of months and will also be returning to University of the Creative Arts (UCA) Farnham to teach the new first years a thing or two about Graphic Design - (apparently) so will be working on some new tutorials, which im thinking of posting on Soupa. I have also been working in a different medium - web design. Designing an online magazine for West London - aptly called West London Living. I will be posting it up in my portfoio section very soon along side some other fresh new work.

NEW BUSINESS CARDS
I decided to take a look at my business cards and give them a make over, again. I really wanted them to make more of an impact so I used the new designs 'nice to meet you' and had them hand screen printed in fluorescent orange by Bob Eight Pop. I also decided to use an embossed card selected from the GF Smith colour plan set. Very pleased with the results. If you would like to see them in their full glory just email me and I will post one out to you.

SOUPA CREATIVE NETWORK
Soupa Creative Network has been updated by myself this month with some new members joining and a visual makeover. Take a look at the site here. There will also soon be some more updates with potential advertising opportunities and a new homepage is being designed - as a collaboration project incorporating all the Soupa members.

POWER IN NUMBERS
My work is currently exhibited alongside 47 other artists at the Bodhi Gallery in Brick Lane, London as part of the Power in Number exhibition. The exhibition is on until May 27th. You can see more pictures on my blog and on Soupa.

TEACHING
Before christmas I spent 3 months lecturing in Graphic Design at the University of the Creative Arts in Farnham. I have been given the opportunity to go back and work with the students again in May which I am very much looking forward to.

SOUPA TRANSFORMATION INTO BLOG

NEW YEAR - NEW OK-JO
I've not only updated Ok-Jo.com but also my business cards and CV. Thanks to the lovely Moo I printed my cards with lots of different designs on the front, that was fun!
